I made this last Easter for my boyfriends "meat and potatoes" family and they LOVED this! They especially got a kick out the fact that the pears come out pink.
I usually like to spoon the sauce onto the plate first and put a pear half on top off center, then I put small "drops" of chocolate syrup in the sauce and next to the pear half and run a toothpick through the chocolate "drops" to make heart shapes.
