Substitutions and Variations

“The perfect drink to impress your friends at your next party 🎉👯‍♀️”

When it comes to making your own cocktails, it’s always fun to experiment with substitutions and variations. Here are a few ideas for switching up the Vanilla Lavender Wine Punch recipe:

– Instead of using dry white wine, try using a sparkling wine, such as Prosecco or Champagne for some added sparkle and effervescence.

– For a more intense aroma, use fresh lavender instead of dried lavender. However, be careful not to use too much as too much lavender can make the punch taste like soap.

– If you’re not a fan of vodka, try substituting it with gin for a lovely floral twist on the classic French 75 cocktail.

– If blueberries are in season, add fresh blueberries to the punch for a pop of color and sweetness. Blueberry and lavender are a match made in heaven!

– Want to make the punch stronger? Add some additional alcohol such as wine rum or spirits such as gin or vodka.

– For those looking for non-alcoholic version can replace white wine with grape juice or an energy drink.

By all means, don’t be afraid to experiment and mix things up – that’s what makes cocktail making so fun!

Making this vanilla lavender wine punch ahead of time is a great way to save time and hassle during a gathering. To make ahead, combine all the ingredients (except the sparkling wine) in a large punch bowl or pitcher and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before adding the sparkling wine.

If you have leftovers, transfer the remaining punch into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. When you’re ready to serve it again, pour the wine punch over ice and add more sparkling wine to restore its fizziness.

If reheating leftovers is necessary, transfer the wine punch to a saucepan and heat it over medium heat until simmering. Once heated through, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly before transferring it back into a convenient serving vessel.

It’s important to note that overheating or boiling this punch may cause some delicate flavors to become lost, so be sure to reheat gently with care.

4. Add ice at serving: Instead of adding ice directly to your punch bowl, add it to individual glasses when serving. This will ensure that your punch doesn’t get watered down over time.
