First barbeque steak of the season and wanted something a little different beside barbeque sauce. Looked on the sites and in the fridge and this was the result. Colouring a little funky but the flavouring was a winner.

  • 1/2 large red onion (sliced)
  • 10 medium button mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 large garlic cloves (grated)
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
